Pupils in Year 2 at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Newton Aycliffe had a special reason to celebrate this week after achieving an outstanding 100% attendance record.

At St Joseph's, good attendance is recognised as an important part of school life. Attending school every day gives children the best opportunity to learn, make progress, build friendships and take part in the many experiences and opportunities available throughout the school year.

To mark their achievement, Year 2 pupils enjoyed a special celebration featuring a disco and popcorn treat. The children spent time dancing, laughing and celebrating together as a reward for their commitment to coming to school every day.

The celebration was a memorable way to recognise the class's dedication and enthusiasm for learning, while also highlighting the importance of regular attendance.

Everyone at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School is incredibly proud of Year 2's achievement and the positive example they have set for others across the school.

Congratulations, Year 2, on becoming St Joseph's latest attendance champions. The challenge is now on to see which class will be next to achieve top attendance honours.
